Travel Physical Therapist - $1,960 per week

Position Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy seeks a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Girard, Ohio, starting ASAP. The position involves 8‑hour days (40 hours per week) on a travel basis. Responsibilities The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Key duties include: Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely. Assess progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Previous Physical Therapy experience (new graduates encouraged). Additional certifications or licenses relevant to the position. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions. Proficiency in PC skills. Physical, Interpersonal, and Technical Abilities Remain in stationary positions, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push/pull, bend, and work efficiently. Work effectively with diverse personnel while presenting a positive attitude. Perform fine manipulation and assist with procedures using department equipment. Handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and manage irregular schedules. Maintain visual acuity and effective communication.
