About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Previous acute care hospital experience required License: Current and valid state RN License Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) required Must-Have: Ventilator management experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The RN also directs and guides patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the telemetry unit. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients. The RN communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology. The RN is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, DCI/BVP certifications are required.
