High acuity step down unit Special Procedures/Unit Details: **** HARDSTOP - need travelers who have proficient exp with the following: Titration of vasopressors (Levophed, Nicardipine, etc), sedation medication, art lines, cardiac arrhythmias, chest tubes, trach vented patients **** Typically we have 1-2 RTs that are assigned to SDU each shift, depending on census. RT is responsible for vents, but RN needs to know how to troubleshoot alarms.**The special procedures and equipment are non-negotiable, as this is the level of care of the floor.** Special Equipment: ***** HARDSTOP - Bipap, Opti flow, art line ******The special procedures and equipment are non-negotiable, as this is the level of care of the floor.

Compliance Deadlines/Requirements: Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before initial start date. Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions Certifications: For Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only: ACLS Required All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing Modules: Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr. Modules are completed pre-start, they are required for RNs and LVS and do not differ per specialty Modules are completed through WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report Modules should be started within 1 week of signed contract, and MUST be completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid a delay in starting

Contract Details: Confirm shift in submittal (e.g., 3x12, 4x12, etc.). Please note, contract length is firm. Booking Rules: BJC does not permit contractors to sign a contract and subsequently cancel it in order to accept another BJC assignment. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractor’s discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity.
