Quality Control Manager - ContractTrueline is seeking a Quality Control Manager - Contract professional to support a federal $22 million vertical construction project in the Atlanta area. This assignment is expected to continue through at least February 2027 and offers an experienced federal construction professional the opportunity to take ownership of quality execution on a highly visible USACE project.What You'll Do as the Quality Control Manager:Lead the project's Contractor Quality Control program in accordance with USACE requirements, contract specifications, approved plans, and applicable federal standardsDevelop, maintain, and execute the project-specific Quality Control PlanManage the USACE three-phase quality control process, including preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspectionsReview plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and approved materials before work beginsCoordinate testing, inspections, mockups, and required documentation with subcontractors, project leadership, government representatives, and third-party testing agenciesConduct daily field inspections to verify workmanship, materials, and installations meet project requirementsIdentify quality concerns early and work with the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and government representatives to resolve themMaintain accurate daily QC reports, inspection records, testing documentation, deficiency logs, and corrective action recordsLead preparatory and initial phase meetings for each definable feature of workMonitor subcontractor performance and verify deficiencies are corrected and properly documentedParticipate in progress meetings, coordination meetings, and government quality reviewsSupport project closeout, punch list completion, commissioning, turnover documentation, and final acceptancePromote a proactive quality culture focused on compliance, accountability, and preventing reworkMust-Haves as the Quality Control Manager:5-6 or more years of construction quality control management experienceSuccessful QC leadership experience on USACE, NAVFAC, Department of Defense, or comparable federal construction projectsVertical construction experience on projects valued between approximately $15 million and $40 millionCurrent Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification, or the ability to meet the project's certification requirements immediatelyStrong understanding of federal construction documentation, inspections, testing, submittals, and quality control proceduresExperience independently managing the three-phase quality control processAbility to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and technical submittalsStrong field presence with the confidence to enforce quality requirements and address nonconforming workExcellent written documentation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work full time at the project site near AtlantaAbility to satisfy federal installation access requirementsNice-to-Haves as the Quality Control Manager:Previous experience working on an active Air Force, military, or other secure federal installationExperience with new-build government facilitiesUSACE RMS or comparable federal construction management system experienceExperience supporting project commissioning and government turnoverFamiliarity with EM 385-1-1 and federal jobsite safety requirementsCurrent OSHA 30-hour Construction certificationExperience working closely with government quality assurance personnelLocal ties to the Atlanta or Marietta, Georgia marketAvailability to begin immediatelyThis Role Offers:Temporary or contract assignment expected to continue through at least February 2027Compensation around $100,000 annually, with flexibility for the right candidate15 days of paid time off per year401(k) matching eligibility after six monthsPotential relocation assistance for an exceptional candidateOpportunity to lead quality control on a significant $22 million federal vertical construction projectPotential for continued opportunities as the company pursues approximately $100 million in additional project workHigh-visibility role with meaningful ownership of project quality and successful deliveryTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
