Utility Maintenance Worker- Sewer Collection SystemThis position is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the sewer collection system. The employee uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and distinguishes between shades of color and utilizes the sense of smell and hearing.Work EnvironmentThe work is typically performed in outdoor environments sometimes potentially hazardous, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to noise, water, mud, sewage, dust, dirt, grease, contagious or infectious diseases, irritating chemicals, and machinery with moving parts. Work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc.
