Maintain transportation specific technology hardware and software.QualificationsEducation/CertificationHigh School Diploma or GED Certificate, PreferredValid Texas Commercial Driver's License (Class B) With "S" and "P" endorsementsValid School Bus Certification CardValid Department of Transportation DOT Physical CertificationAcceptable driving record as determined by the Department of Public Safety, Department of Transportation, and Texas Education AgencyCompletion of driver trainer program through an approved providerSpecial Knowledge/SkillsAbility to communicate professionally with parents, students, and staff in EnglishExperience with Google Suite applicationsAbility to learn transportation specific softwareExperienceTwo years experience as a licensed and certified school bus driverMajor Responsibilities and DutiesTraining1. Perform Behind the Wheel Training and classroom training with new and existing employees.2. Document and maintain all training records and schedules as required by State and Federal regulations and Navarro ISD policies.3. Train drivers regarding setting up and maintaining paperwork.4. Provide student management training to drivers.5. Assist the transportation director with monitoring the performance of bus drivers and monitors to ensure safety procedures are consistently followed.6. Provide documentation to the transportation director regarding recommended corrective actions needed by trainees or staff.Electronics Technician7. Maintain onboard camera systems.8.
