Shuttle Driver

GENERAL PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the shuttle driver is to provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students, faculty, and staff between campus locations, ensuring timely access to classes and events while promoting campus safety and sustainability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safe Transportation: Operate the shuttle safely, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Route Management: Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely pickup and drop-offs.
• Passenger Assistance: Help students, faculty, and staff with boarding and exiting the shuttle.
• Communication: Provide information about routes, schedules, and campus events.
• Emergency Procedures: Respond effectively to emergencies and maintain passenger safety. Record keeping while maintaining logs of ridership and incidents during shifts.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 to 3 years of work related experience
• Must have a valid NYS driver's license with clean driving record

RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT

• Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly pay rate for this position is $17.00. This hiring hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
