Job # 33169 Primary Duties and Responsibilities Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Under the supervision of the security Operations Manager, provide leadership and direction to all security personnel and all program policies and procedures. Responsibilities include supervision, deployment of personnel and other duties as assigned. Directly supervises Security staff protecting property and entrance to restricted areas, maintaining crowds at public events, performing security inspections for risks, and controlling safety rule infractions. Manages schedules based on demand, skill set and distribution. Supervises Security Professionals performing protective service duties by monitoring work in line with Security program standards and policies. Assumes full responsibility for security personnel in all health system areas in the absence of the security operations manager. Supervises and trains security officers and other personnel assigned to protective service duties. Directly supervises Security staff protecting property. Provide leadership and administrative oversight of the Photo Identification Program in the absence of the manager. Security Supervisors enforce all policies and state laws, and follow all guidelines including state regulatory agency requirements. Salary Range: $30.03 -$58.09 / Hourly Job Qualifications Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Incumbent must possess and maintain current certification in a California Guard Card and D.O.J. Chemical Agent. Must have BCLS Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. Must have a current and valid CA driver’s license. Ability to see aspects of public relations in all facets of the job and the ability to understand the effects of actions on the entire organization. Ability to recognize the importance of dealing diplomatically with the public, and the importance of a good public appearance. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with security employees, police officers, and Medical Center, RNPH, Medical Plaza and CHS employees. Physical ability to handle various intervention incidents, including patient restraints and violent subjects. Demonstrated ability to assess problematic or emergency situations and plan/execute an appropriate solution based on established guidelines or policies. Knowledge of applicable geography in order to expedite calls and to be an effective information source. Knowledge of penal and radio codes and language used in radio communications. Physically able to perform sustained foot patrols, prolonged standing, lifting patients, and restraining patients or prisoners as necessary. Visual and hearing ability to detect and report unusual circumstances quickly and accurately. Ability to complete continual training classes as required (training provided). As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
