Location Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type Regular Work Shift Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America) Pay Range $32.50–$48.50 per hour (actual pay rate dependent upon experience). Position Highlights May be eligible for a Sign On Bonus up to $15,000. Varied shifts; 48 hours/2 weeks. Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re‑evaluating care objectives. What You Will Do Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with other healthcare providers. Coordinates patient care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors, conferring with family and friends. Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients and families, answering questions, and providing resources. Evaluates patient care by measuring outcomes against patient care standards and re‑evaluating care objectives. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Documents patient care services in patient and department records. Keeps patient care equipment operating and supplies ready by following operating instructions, maintaining supplies, and placing orders. Maintains competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function, including: visual acuity adequate for position duties, ability to communicate effectively, and understanding speech and other sounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made, as long as they do not cause undue hardship. Required Education / License / Certification Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license. Active license in the state of practice. Preferred Education / License / Certification 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
