Role Overview

The Parts Sales Specialist is responsible for driving parts sales and growing aftermarket business by building strong customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and proactively pursuing sales opportunities. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers worldwide, providing responsive solutions, recommending parts based on equipment and operational needs, and ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.

In addition to managing customer inquiries and developing sales opportunities, the Parts Sales Specialist coordinates the sourcing and time-critical shipment of parts. The position works closely with management and technical teams to identify critical parts, maintain competitive pricing and inventory levels, and support continued growth of the customer service and aftermarket business.

Key Responsibilities

• Through daily communication with customers and internal departments, this person will process parts orders, generate quotations, and miscellaneous requests for customers worldwide.

• Proactively identify customer parts needs, recommend and propose replacement parts and other service products, drive sales through relationship management and consistent follow-up.

• Review historical service reports, technician notes, and prior maintenance records to help determine the appropriate scope of work before preparing a proposal.

• Research engineering job files, analyze prints, bills of material and determine if part requested is obsolete or if the customer needs an upgrade or modification.

• Follow up on service leads, inspections, and technician recommendations.

• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.

• Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specifications. Negotiate prices and terms of sales.

• Work closely with service operations and technical teams to ensure proper pricing and scope for all parts/service offerings.

• Support customer satisfaction and help drive contract renewals

• Provide 24/7 customer support on a rotating basis

Candidate Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in part/service sales, or a related industrial role.

• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.

• Ability to understand and discuss basic technical information.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

• Experience with SAP is a plus.

• Experience with industrial or environmental equipment preferred

• Familiarity with part programs and/or service agreements preferred
