About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Projects to take on a pivotal role in leading a portfolio of highly customized construction and facilities projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a range of projects, including asset replacements, roof replacements, and building modifications, with a focus on maintaining the financial performance of a large project portfolio. This is a business-minded leadership position that requires a strong background in vendor management, contract negotiation, client development, and P&L oversight. The Head of Projects will also be tasked with managing a team, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the successful and profitable delivery of multiple projects simultaneously. Applicants for the Head of Projects role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in general contracting, construction management, or related fields, with a preference for those coming from a small-to-mid-sized general contractor environment. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in vendor management, supplier negotiations, and subcontractor relationships, as well as experience in project financial management and a strong ability to lead and develop project teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a skilled negotiator, and a proactive leader with the ability to drive revenue and build long-term client relationships. While not essential, experience in industrial, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, or commercial facility projects is considered a plus.
