Railcar Inspector

We are seeking a Railcar Inspector to support our transportation projects in major rail and transit programs. The role focuses on quality assurance and audit oversight during tendering and implementation phases. Responsibilities Specify quality requirements during the tendering phase. Develop and implement an effective quality assurance plan during implementation. Identify KPIs, processes, procedures, audit programs and other control measures. Monitor quality performance of all parties and hold them accountable to contractual obligations. Develop a Quality Assurance and Monitoring Plan aligned with project processes and procedures. Train and induct the Project Delivery team on the Project Quality Assurance Plan. Collaborate across all teams to encourage quality performance improvements. Validate/issue all project Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) identified by the contractor, QA Services Consultant, or Quality team. Qualifications Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and project delivery processes in Design‑Bid‑Build. Good understanding of contracts and comprehensive understanding of QMS based on ISO 9001. Hands‑on experience with quality assurance (QA) and quality control processes. Auditor experience and ISO 19011 skills. ASQ certification preferred. Previous experience leading QA/QC teams. ISO 9000 experience. Minimum 10 years’ experience in quality, inspection or industrial projects. At least 5 years of experience in similar QA roles. Physical Requirements Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting up to 20 lbs (supplies, drawings, etc.). Longest distance carried of 50 ft. Hand manipulation for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. Use of right and/or left hand. Occasional reach above or below shoulder level. May work near construction site equipment, hazardous equipment, and machinery. Lack of adequate ground, exposure to dust, gas, fumes, noise, extreme temperatures or humidity, and potential work at heights. Travel This position requires regular travel to China. Salary Base salary range $104,700.00 to $163,650.00, paid hourly based on hours worked. Pay determined by location and additional factors, including skills, experience, and education.
