On-Call Kitchen Steward/Dishwashers

Aloha! Our Hospitality division is growing and we are looking for On-Call Kitchen Steward/Dishwashers to join our team for upcoming events. This position is On-Call as it is based on when there are events, so it is perfect for those who are already working and looking for flexible work.

The On-Call Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher assists in all back of the house Kitchen operations for one of the largest state-of-the-art kitchens in Hawaii. They handle volume events and the work is very labor intensive.

Schedule: On-Call based on events
Pay: $18.04 per hour. WEEKLY PAY Up to $722 per week
Location: Ala Moana/Waikiki

Stewards / On-Call Events assist in all back of the house Kitchen operations for one of the largest state-of-the-art kitchens in Hawaii. They handle volume events and the work is very labor intensive.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Loading and unloading carts, pushing, pulling large hotboxes and heavy carts to functions.
2. Loading and unloading commercial size dishwashers.
3. Manually pre-washing scraped on foods, pots, pans, trays. Breaking down events manually and reloading into carts and pushing back to main kitchen
4. Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps food as needed.
5. Property washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware and storage containers.
6. Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries
7. Follows assigned daily dish cleaning duties
8. Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or request by the Executive Steward or Executive Chef as needed.

Job Requirements:

1. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
2. Must have black non-slip shoes.
3. Must take direction well and be able to adapt.
4. Loading and offloading heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) and deliver to event rooms.
5. Comfortable with labor duties including but not limited to standing, walking, push, pull, lifting, kneeling for long periods of time.
6. Must be able to report to work on time if not early.
