Pediatric Diagnostic Audiologist

*Job Summary* The Pediatric Diagnostic Audiologist provides comprehensive audiologic evaluation and hearing healthcare services for infants, children, and adolescents with suspected auditory disorders. This position is employed by Hearts for Hearing and primarily practices within a partner otolaryngology (ENT) clinic, serving as an integral member of the healthcare team. The Pediatric Diagnostic Audiologist reports to the Division Director of Diagnostic Audiology Services and works collaboratively with otolaryngologists, advanced practice providers, fellow audiologists on-site at the partner ENT clinic, and other Hearts for Hearing clinicians and staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care. Clinical services are delivered in accordance with established Hearts for Hearing policies, clinical protocols, quality standards, and evidence-based practices. The Pediatric Diagnostic Audiologist is expected to demonstrate clinical excellence, professional accountability, independent problem-solving, and strong communication skills while representing Hearts for Hearing within the partner practice. *Responsibilities**Clinical Services** Conduct comprehensive pediatric audiologic evaluations utilizing objective and behavioral assessment methods appropriate to the patient's developmental age and clinical needs.
* Interpret test results and develop appropriate recommendations for medical follow-up, monitoring, and intervention.
* Counsel patients and families regarding hearing status, diagnostic findings, and recommendations.
* Provide hearing screenings and follow-up evaluations as needed. *Collaboration and Care Coordination** Collaborate closely with otolaryngologists and other medical providers to support timely diagnosis and management of hearing-related disorders.
* Coordinate care and communicate effectively with audiologists within the partner ENT clinic and Hearts for Hearing audiology team.
* Participate in clinical case discussions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Facilitate communication between Hearts for Hearing and the partner clinic to support continuity of care and operational effectiveness.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with physicians, clinic staff, referral sources, and community partners. *Documentation, Billing, and Compliance** Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with Hearts for Hearing policies and established performance expectations.
* Complete billing and charge entry accurately and promptly using accepted coding and billing practices.
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
* Adhere to established clinical protocols, quality assurance measures, and patient safety standards. *Professional Responsibilities** Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities and patient care activities.
* Exercise sound clinical judgment and independent decision-making while seeking guidance when appropriate.
* Identify challenges proactively and implement effective solutions.
* Contribute to program development, operational improvement, and strategic initiatives.
* Maintain required state licensure and continuing education requirements.
* Participate in training, conferences, outreach activities, and travel as requested.
* Perform other duties as assigned. *Experience** Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program.
* Current Oklahoma Audiology License or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment.
