Cx Project ManagerCx Project Manager holds overall responsibility for assigned projects of low to medium scope and complexity. Duties include planning and executing a specific project plan, delivering quality products and services to the client in a timely manner, managing project financials, and serving as the primary contact between the Company project team and the client. The Cx Project Manager ensures that projects are executed according to the plan and is responsible for the results of assigned projects.Essential FunctionsCompletes the project scope and requirements with the client and other stakeholders and communicates project scope and requirements to the project teamPrepares and implements a proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for projectsOversees the profitability of the project by negotiating fees and contracts as may be appropriate, participating in the budgeting process, and ensuring that invoices are accurate and delivered in a timely mannerIdentifies, negotiates, and administers fees for additional servicesSchedules work, communicates schedule information to the project team, and monitors manpower requirementsFacilitates communication between the client and the project team; documents important issuesCoordinates activities of the project team and contractors during the design and construction phasesPerforms project job site visits to investigate field conditions, monitor progress, and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes during constructionPerforms specific engineering studies and other design analyses using industry softwareCoordinates with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, implement operating procedures, and provide technical informationMonitors accounts receivables on projects and initiates corrective action as neededSupervises the job close out process to ensure documentation, lessons learned, and filings are completeMay participate in planning and budgeting processes, which includes preparing monthly billing projections and budget metrics as required by managementMay assist management in the training and mentoring of less experienced colleagues within the Cx groupKnowledge, Skill, and Ability RequirementsKNOWLEDGEThorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) softwareKnowledge of project approach and systems designKnowledge of the engineering discipline of his/her expertiseKnowledge of building codes and regulationsKnowledge of construction procurement and design development processesGeneral knowledge of accounting and how to create and maintain budgetsSKILLS AND ABILITIESComprehension – ability to understand information, ideas, and direction presented in writing and/or verbally communicatedWritten Communication Skills – ability to clearly deliver a message through written words using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuationSpeech Clarity – ability to speak clearly and in a common language so that others can understand youDetail-Oriented – ability to achieve accuracy and thoroughness when accomplishing a task; pays attention to details and is able to understand the cause of a certain outcomeJudgement and Decision-Making Skills – ability to make reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out; constructively questioning and analyzing information in order to make the best conclusionTechnical Writing Skills – skilled in the area of summarizing or explaining technical information in a clear, concise, and accurate way, communicating the point intendedPresentation Skills – effective in a variety of presentation settings both inside and outside the organization; commands attention and can manage group processes during the presentation; can change tactics midstream when something isn't workingMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldTen years related project experienceProfessional Engineer Licensure preferredPhysical DemandsFrequently use a computer for several hours at a timeMay need to periodically maneuver over, under, and around barriers as well as climb ladders on a job siteMay need to periodically ride swing stages and boom lifts on a job site as necessaryFrequently travel by car or plane to visit job sites and attend meetings, conferences, and eventsRequires the ability to climb stairs and move around a job site for several hours at a time
