Forklift OperatorThe Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stage materials within the warehouse or production facility. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and adherence to all safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, or shipping departments.Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and material transactions.Follow safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents or damage to materials.Assist with general warehouse duties such as staging, wrapping, or labeling products as needed.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred.Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a warehouse environment.Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking preferred.
