Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with a deep understanding of large system architecture to support mission-critical operations. This position requires a technical expert with a proven background in operating system, Cisco devices, Commercial Automation Software, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf product lifecycles. The ideal candidate will be experienced in secure communications, large-scale infrastructure planning, and Department of Defense environments and Air Force integration lab environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Cisco ACI and Cisco ISE Knowledge
• Configure and Install various network devices and services (Routers, Switches, IP addresses, VLANs, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN, QOS)
• Proven experience in a network administrator roles
• Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting skills on SD WAN, LAN segmentation, Cisco Switches, Cisco Wireless Access Points, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Cisco Routers, and Riverbed Bandwidth Optimizers
• Maintain design of LAN/WAN including protocols and routing
• Proven hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching
• Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently
• Deep understanding of Networking protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP Model
• Hands-on experience with Monitoring network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication
• Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and best practices

Additional responsibilities include:

• Monitoring all active network equipment, ensuring seamless operations, system availability, and reliability
• Configuration and management of Cisco switches and routers, firewalls, and support to system administration team in deployment at new sites
• Design, build, test, and troubleshoot a complex network
• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, and proactively optimizing network performance
• Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches hot fixes, and security configurations
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Engineer Level support and troubleshooting to resolve issues (This includes diagnosing network problems, analyzing network logs, and implementing solutions and resolve network issues)
• Work within established configuration and change Management policies
• Assist in network design and implementation
• Troubleshoot issues with Network Deployment
• Identify potential failures and recommend solutions
• Liaise with Vendors and other IT personnel for Problem resolution
• Update knowledge base with known errors

Basic Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in network engineering and large system architecture.
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• In-depth understanding of:
• Cisco ACI and Cisco ISE Knowledge
• Operating Systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server)
• CAS tools and integration
• COTS product evaluation, implementation, and lifecycle management
• ServiceNow
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, such as:
• Security+ CE
• CCNA, CCNA-Security

Preferred Qualifications include:

• CCNP
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and software-defined networking (SDN).
• Experience working with government agencies or in classified environments.
