Job Details Job Location: SAL3 - Hillsborough, NJ 08844 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $20.75 - $20.75 per hour Shift: Evening Alternatives, Inc. in Hillsborough, NJ is looking to hire a part‑time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities. We pay a competitive wage of $20.75 per hour and $22.75 on weekends. Current Available Opportunities Sun, off Mon, off Tues, 3pm – 8pm Wed, 3pm – 8pm Thurs, 3pm – 8pm Fri, 3pm – 8pm Sat, 3pm – 11pm Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver As a DSP/Caregiver, you begin each shift ready to help adults with developmental disabilities live their best lives independently. Your mission is to ensure the comfort and safety of each client. In our residential group home, you assist residents with activities of daily living such as administering medication, cooking meals, performing personal hygiene, and transportation to medical appointments. You also assist in the implementation of individual behavioral plans. Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you teach new skills and help clients achieve goals. Based on each individual's preferences and behavioral plans, you encourage their interests and drive them to community outings and recreational activities. You keep documentation accurate and up‑to‑date and report any concerns about their health or safety. Work Schedule We operate 24‑hour residential group homes, allowing DSPs/Caregivers to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Training All employees are required to complete 10–15 training sessions upon hire and on an ongoing basis. Training is a combination of in‑person sessions, which require staff to commute to our main office in Raritan, NJ, and remote sessions conducted via Go To Meeting. All training is paid.
