Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing

Job Summary: The Assistant Athletic Director, Athletics Marketing is responsible for the direction and management of TCU athletic marketing program objectives by owning the overall fan journey, data-driven fan engagement, and cross-departmental collaboration. Duties & Essential Job Functions: 1. Develops and implements comprehensive fan experience strategies for assigned sports, including marketing plans, promotional initiatives, fan engagement opportunities, and game day experiences designed to attract, engage, and retain fans. 2. Focuses on developing and executing strategies to grow attendance in collaboration with ticket operations and sales staff including season ticket, group and individual game day sales campaigns. 3. Collaborates with all external areas to develop integrated marketing and advertising campaigns to strengthen the brand, build awareness, and drive attendance through compelling storytelling. 4. Provides support and acts as a resource for sponsorship integration, activation, and partnership to create continued revenue opportunities with Learfield. 5. Develop and deliver a best-in-class game day experience with end-to-end production leadership including technology integration, talent coordination, videoboard production, sponsorship activation, and in-venue entertainment. 6. Contributes to the marketing financial objectives by participating in budget planning and strategic revenue generation opportunities. 7. Develops and executes innovative student-focused marketing strategies and gameday initiatives designed to increase student attendance and align with campus goals to prioritize the student experience within athletics. 8. Develops strategic email marketing and fan messaging plans to drive engagement, attendance, ticket sales, and overall fan experience; collaborates with internal departments, creative teams, and external partners to ensure timely, consistent, and targeted communications across the fan journey. 9. Collaborates with campus partners and organizations with intentional relationship building to between Athletics and campus wide initiatives. 10. Oversees department graduate assistants and part-time staff. 11. Assists in management and mentorship of full-time marketing staff. 12. Oversees marketing department intern program. 13. Oversees Director of Video Productions. 14. Maintains professional and technical knowledge of emerging trends in fan experience, sports marketing, and the collegiate athletics space through professional development, industry research, and networking opportunities. 15. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent in experience. 5 years’ experience in collegiate athletics marketing or sports marketing and sales. 1 year of supervisory experience Preferred Education & Experience: Two years supervisory experience Experience with football and basketball game presentation at a high-profile institution or professional sports organization Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: None Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training: None Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to achieve effective sales results. Ability to work independently as well as on a team. Work Environment: Work is indoors and outdoors, is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours. This role is an on-campus, in person position.
