Laboratory Manager
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Manager for its Warren, Michigan facility to oversee daily operations of a diagnostics laboratory. The role involves managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining service standards, and implementing laboratory procedures across technical and non-technical operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily operational activities and manage staffing schedules for both technical and non-technical laboratory operations
- Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory supervisors and departmental staff
- Ensure compliance with corporate, state, and federal regulatory requirements including CAP, CLIA, and ISO standards
- Resolve client inquiries and operational issues in consultation with medical and technical directors
- Recruit, hire, and manage staff performance, training, and development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical/biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- 3+ years as a technologist in clinical diagnostics laboratory
- 3+ years supervisory experience managing multiple direct reports
- ASCP/AMT certification
- Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state regulations
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
