General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds 9 Preop beds, 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
• Number of Staff 8 full time RN's (2 of those are open positions), 2 part time RN's, 4 PRN RN's and 1 unit HUC
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift Same as above
  • Night Shift - 0
• Patient Ratios 1:3
• Type of equipment Pyxis, Client MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, bladder scanner
• EMR - Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current acute care Pre-Op RN Hospital experience
• BLS & ACLS

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Some preop experience, or ability to help preop staff
• Prior Meditech experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Phase 2 recoveries of Urology, GYN and other SDS patients
• Pre-op Surgery, Endo, Cath lab, EP, CT patients, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKG's, blocks, blood transfusions

• Patient experience is a priority
• Communication with staff and providers

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

• On-call is required and 30 minute response time when on-call.
• 2 - 10HR on call shifts required every 8 weeks
