This is not one of them.This position is for a commercial construction professional who wants real ownership of their projects, direct access to company leadership, and the authority to make decisions that keep work moving. You'll manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, partner closely with experienced field teams, and build lasting relationships with clients and trade partners.The company is a respected general contractor with a strong regional presence, diverse project experience, and a steady pipeline of commercial work. Projects may include ground-up construction, additions, renovations, tenant improvements, industrial facilities, institutional buildings, hospitality, multifamily, and adaptive-reuse developments.What You'll Be Responsible ForManage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeoutDevelop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and procurement plansCoordinate subcontractor bidding, scope review, buyout, contract execution, and performanceWork closely with project superintendents to align field operations with budget, schedule, quality, and client expectationsServe as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractorsLead project meetings and maintain clear communication among all project stakeholdersManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, purchase orders, and project documentationTrack long-lead materials and resolve procurement or scheduling concerns before they affect the projectIdentify potential risks early and develop practical solutionsMaintain accurate cost projections and provide regular updates to company leadershipSupport constructability reviews, value engineering, design coordination, and preconstruction planningEnsure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and according to the company's quality standardsHelp develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers assigned to your projectsBuild strong client relationships that lead to repeat businessWhat We're Looking ForAt least 5 years of commercial construction project management experienceExperience managing ground-up construction, additions, renovations, or tenant improvement projectsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferredStrong understanding of construction contracts, budgets, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor managementAbility to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with field and office teamsStrong communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving abilitiesExperience leading owner, architect, and contractor meetingsAbility to anticipate challenges rather than simply react to themProficiency with construction project management, scheduling, and document-control softwareWillingness to visit project sites and travel periodically based on project requirementsWhy This Opportunity Stands OutMeaningful ownership of projects from beginning to endStrong backlog of diverse commercial construction workDirect communication with company leadershipCollaborative partnership between project management and field operationsOpportunity to work with long-standing clients and established trade partnersSupport for continued professional development and career advancementCompetitive compensation, performance-based incentives, and comprehensive benefitsThe right person for this role is not looking to disappear into a large corporate structure.
