Job Title: 2nd Assembly

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling door handles, including both interior and exterior, as well as liftgate handles. The parts are primarily plastic and lightweight, although they will increase in quantity as you progress. You will be working 8-10 hour shifts and will be on your feet throughout the duration. The assembly cells are comprised of eight areas where operators rotate, spending no more than two hours in one spot. Occasionally, you may remain in the same position for an entire shift. The job involves placing parts in the correct fixture and sequence, starting with simpler tasks and gradually advancing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble door handles and liftgate handles using small hardware pieces and plastic parts.
• Place parts into fixtures and set up machines for assembly.
• Pack, inspect, and label assembled parts with precision and accuracy.
• Maintain a certain speed to assemble a required number of parts per hour.
• Rotate every two hours between different assembly stations.
• Sort, inspect, and trim excess plastic from freshly molded parts.
• Pack and hang parts before paint application, inspect painted parts for defects.

Essential Skills

• General labor skills with experience in assembly.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Capability to stand for 10 hours straight.
• High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskegon, MI.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.25/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Muskegon,MI.
