Come join our Yamhill County, Oregon team at First American, where we recognize our true worth is our people. We are looking to add an Escrow Officer to our growing team.


In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting focused on customer service and closing deals. This role requires exceptional decision-making skills, strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task as part of a team.


The Escrow Officer is responsible for handling real estate transactions by establishing new escrow accounts, managing funds, processing documents for closings, and completing settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in making the dream of home ownership a reality.


This role is in-office 5x week.

WhatYou'llDo:

• Complete real estate escrow transactions bydeterminingrequirements

• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, andmonitorandmitigate risk to the company

• Responsible for ensuring that all funds are properly accounted for and disbursedin accordance withthe terms of the contractand our company policy

• Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction

• Examine property titles,mortgages,and trust deed documents

• Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale

• Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements and title

WhatYou'llBring:

• 2-4 years of escrow-related experience

• Experience directly handling escrow transactions as an escrow assistant preferable

• Openness tonew technologyand proprietary programs;adjustseasily to new workflow

• Passionforhelping customers whilemaintaininga professional and positive attitude

• Excellent verbal and written communication with both our internal team and external customers; comfortable usingvarious typesof communication to meet customer needs

• Problem solverwithstrong organizational skills, is detail oriented, andknows how to navigate internal and external resources to resolve issues

• Thrives in contributing to a teamworkingtogether to deliver beyond customer expectations

• Comfortableguiding and supporting future talent learning the business

• Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies

• Valid Licensing/Certification as required by applicable state

• High school diploma or equivalent

This position is eligible for bonus pay and/or incentives for production or other goals. This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
