No C2C or 3rd parties, please.Civil Design Engineer II opportunity in Pittsburgh, PADirect Hire/Full TimeHybrid work schedule (1 remote day per week; can also work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday or Monday off)We’re looking for a motivated Civil Design Engineer II to support highway and structural engineering projects from concept through delivery. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career civil engineer who wants hands-on design responsibility, exposure to a variety of project types, and opportunities to grow technically and professionally within a collaborative team environment.What you’ll be doing:Perform highway and structural engineering design tasks with minimal supervision, including engineering calculations, cost estimates, checking, and report writingSupport steel and concrete structure design, including girders, bearings, abutments, retaining walls, and foundationsAssist with highway design elements such as geometry, right-of-way, traffic, and water resourcesParticipate in project site visits, project status meetings, and public meetings as neededServe as a Work Group Leader on portions of projects when appropriateProvide design support for workshare efforts with other officesMentor and assist in developing the technical skills of Engineer I staff and draftspersonsCollaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Drafting teamsDemonstrate accountability and contribute to a team-oriented, professional work environmentWhat we’re looking for:BS in Civil EngineeringEIT certificationMinimum of 2 years of progressively responsible design experienceWorking knowledge of highway and structural design codes and proceduresExperience with Bentley MicroStation and related design toolsFamiliarity with software such as InRoads/OpenRoads, HCS, Synchro, Vissim, HEC-RAS, HY-8, PondPack, Bluebeam, and MathCadStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while also collaborating within a supervised team structureThis is a great opportunity for an Engineer II looking to deepen technical expertise, take on greater responsibility, and grow within a stable, well-supported engineering environment.Interested candidates may send their resumes directly to Brandon at View email address on us.fitly.work
