Job Overview Tax - SAP Global Trade Services – Tax Consultant II at Deloitte, Sacramento, CA. As a practitioner within Deloitte’s Global Trade Advisory Practice, you will help clients maximize their SAP investments and position their businesses for the evolving digital economy. Key Responsibilities Deliver complex projects in a fast‑paced, team environment. Lead and assist Customer and Sales Operations pursuits and practice development initiatives. Promote and participate in forums to share expertise and strengthen Deloitte’s collective knowledge. Collaborate on innovative solutions to bolster the future of the practice. Develop knowledge of and gain project experience with SAP’s newest and future solutions such as SAP S/4 and SAP GTS, Edition for HANA. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for GTS projects. Lead and/or facilitate business process definition and modeling. Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and configuration. Coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within SAP GTS solutions. Guide a team to implement and configure the software to meet required business processes and analytical/reporting needs. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end‑users and client teams. Ensure SAP GTS solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and business teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and support. Required Qualifications Must be able to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model requiring US Tax professionals to co‑locate in person 2–3 days per week. 1+ year(s) of relevant SAP consulting or industry experience. Good understanding of supply chain management processes. Experience in SAP modules other than SAP GTS. Technical knowledge in ABAP and SAP PL. Bachelor’s degree in a legal, business or technology‑related field. Ability to travel up to 10–20% as required. At least one of the following active accreditations: CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, US Customhouse Broker’s License, CUSECO, Foreign equivalent certification, CUSICO, EU Customs Law certification, and related technology certifications (e.g., CBAP, SAFe, MCSD, MCSE, PMP, etc.). Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience implementing one or more SAP GTS modules (Compliance Management, Customs Management, Trade Preference). Experience with SAP S/4 or ECC in modules such as Sales and Distribution, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Material Master, Transportation Management. Software aptitude in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and Visio. Experience presenting to clients or decision makers. Knowledge of export regulations including ITAR/EAR. Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and project management skills. Understanding of end‑to‑end processes and attention to detailed design. Strong team and organizational skills; ability to self‑manage time and tasks. Ability to manage client and cross‑functional team expectations. Ability to design solutions aligned to leading practices and deliver differentiated outcomes. Compensation The wage range for this role is $65,760 to $120,960. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program.
