Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Controls Technician to perform service, troubleshooting, and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS), controls instrumentation, and other low-voltage building systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC automation, electrical systems, and networked controls, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a fast-paced customer campus environ ment. Key Responsibilities Perform service, troubleshooting, and repair of BMS and controls instrumentation. Adjust parameters or modify controls programs to resolve automation issues. Adhere to Client and customer safety standards. Communicate with Facilities Management (FM) team at the start and end of each shift. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement mitigation measures for BMS issues. Coordinate and perform field repairs. Interpret mechanical schematics, BMS submittals, sequences, and electrical diagrams. Continuously optimize building systems through preventive maintenance and system checks. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues with the IP layer of BMS components. Audit controls and networked devices to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks. Support Integrated Operations Centre and other Client -operated facilities to reduce operational risk. Investigate and implement energy conservation measures with the energy manager. Provide support for other low-voltage systems (e.g., security, data) Comply with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications Te chnical degree in electronics, electrical engineering, instrumentation, computer science, or automation engineering (4 years), OR 10+ years of experience in commercial building automation. Minimum 5 years of industry experience. Strong knowledge of commercial or institutional HVAC mechanical systems and automation. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Self-driven with strong critical thinking skills. Ability to learn quickly and maintain technical proficiency in Client product lines. Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency situations. Ability to report daily to designated site with flexible shifts as requi red. Preferred Qualifications (if any) C ertifications in Client product lines or equivalet building automation systems. Experience with energy conservation measures and optimization proje cts. Certifications (if any) Relevant BMS or HVAC automation certifications (Pre ferred). Education: Bachelors Degree
