Job Description About Stoller CPA: Stoller CPA is an 8-person firm in Encino, including 4 CPAs, and we’ve been in business for over 10 years. All of our CPAs came from larger firms. We built this practice to keep the quality of work and drop what we didn’t like: the long hours, the administrative busywork, and the lack of flexibility. Our clients stay with us because we do great work and we’re responsive, and our reputation reflects that. About the Role: We’re looking for a Tax Associate with 1–3 years of experience who wants broader exposure than a larger firm typically offers. Our clients are mostly small and mid-sized businesses, primarily S corporations and partnerships, with some C corporations, trusts, and related individual returns. You’ll work closely with our CPAs on every engagement, from the general ledger through the final return. As you develop, there’s room to grow into a Senior role and beyond. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Prepare Individual, S corporation, partnership , and C corporation income tax returnsReview client general ledgers, reconcile accounts, and propose adjusting entriesPrepare extensions, estimated payments, and year-end projections.Follow up with clients by phone and email on missing informationClear review comments and learn from feedback on each file. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting1–3 years of tax experience at a national or large regional CPA firmExperience preparing S corporation and Individual income tax returnsComfortable working in a GL and cleaning up booksCPA License or pursuing CPA licensure Who Does Well Here You care about getting it right and take ownership of your files.
