Registered Nurse Job Duties Pre‑Operative Administer care to patients prior to surgery. Administer pre‑surgery medication under guidance of physician or PA. Evaluate and access admission documents, identify emergency procedures, and adhere to necessary pre‑operation policies and procedures. PACU Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, respiratory rate). Treat symptoms of postoperative nausea and vomiting. Manage post‑operative pain. Treat post‑anesthetic shivering. Monitor surgical sites for excessive bleeding, discharge, swelling, hematoma, redness, etc. Registered Nurse Job Requirements IV Therapy experience (starting, discontinuing IVs, administering medication). Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing program; current Registered Nurse in Washington required. Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire.
