Job Summary Suppression technicians are responsible for delivering outstanding customer service with tasks related to the installation, modification, inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Suppression Systems. Key Responsibilities Install, test, and maintain a variety of fire suppression systems, including clean agent systems, dry chemical, CO2, foam, and other special hazards fire protection applications. Perform routine inspections, service, and maintenance tasks on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. This includes inspecting, testing, cleaning components, and verifying system functionality. Perform testing of suppression system components, including alarms, pressure gauges, and release mechanisms. Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues and malfunctions with fire suppression systems, resolving them efficiently to bring systems back to normal working conditions. Be willing to perform routine inspections of fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally. Communicate effectively with clients to explain the condition of their fire suppression systems, providing instruction and education on system operation, functionality, best practices, and emergency response procedures. Providing emergency service to investigate and diagnose alarm and trouble conditions to determine cause and take corrective action. Manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality. Maintaining accurate and precise documentation of all work orders daily, including completing and submitting all required task‑related, activity, productivity, and thorough inspection reports with customer signatures to the inspection manager in a timely manner. Ensure proper maintenance, care, and upkeep of all company-provided equipment, including trucks, lifts, and tools. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment with strict attention to all safety requirements, demonstrating an understanding of and adherence to all safety regulations and practices.
