Job Title: General Laborer Job Description

As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for efficiently moving materials within the warehouse, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of inventory, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality control.

• Move materials in and about the warehouse.
• Track materials within the warehouse, including tagging, inventory, documenting weight and dimensions.
• Ensure accurate completion of all necessary paperwork.
• Sort and segregate all distributions accurately.
• Operate warehouse equipment including jacks and forklifts, following all safety procedures and protocols.
• Load and unload freight from trucks, vans, and other transportation vehicles, ensuring the paperwork matches the loaded or unloaded items, and perform quality control checks for potential damage.
• Document and update disposal data to capture dumpster use.
• Pick and pack material/freight in a timely and orderly manner.

• General labor experience.
• Proficiency in using RF scanners.
• Experience in order picking and material handling.
• Warehouse packing skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Competence in labeling, shipping, and receiving.
• Experience in picking, packing, and warehouse inventory management.

• Ability to operate equipment including a jack and a forklift.

The work environment involves operating in a busy warehouse setting, utilizing equipment such as jacks and forklifts. Team members are expected to follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating equipment. This role requires attention to detail to ensure accurate tracking and documentation of inventory and freight.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
