Job Title: Assembler/Electronics Assemblers

Job Description

This role focuses on final assembly of electronic circuit boards and light mechanical fixtures in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will work primarily on SMT (surface-mount technology) lines, using small hand tools and power screwdrivers to complete bench assembly tasks, typically in a seated position for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final assembly of circuit boards on SMT lines, following established procedures and work instructions.
  • Complete light mechanical assembly of fixtures using small hand tools and power screwdrivers.
  • Use microscopes as needed to inspect and assemble small electronic components with precision.
  • Follow electronic and mechanical schematics and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly and proper component placement.
  • Perform soldering tasks on circuit boards in accordance with IPC standards and internal quality requirements.
  • Inspect assembled boards and fixtures for defects, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workbench and follow all safety and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve basic assembly issues as they arise.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of electronic assembly experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic assembly, including working on SMT lines.
  • Proficiency with soldering electronic components on circuit boards.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics for both electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with light mechanical assembly using small hand tools and power screwdrivers.
  • Comfort using microscopes for detailed inspection and assembly work.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic assembly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately while seated for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience soldering on circuit boards in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • electronics manufacturing or similar high-precision assembly settings.
  • Ability to work effectively on either first or second shift as needed.
  • Willingness to follow standardized processes and continuous improvement practices.

Work Environment

This position is based in an electronics manufacturing environment that is climate controlled, very clean, and comfortable. Work is primarily bench assembly, and most roles are seated for the majority of the shift. You will use small hand tools, power screwdrivers, microscopes, and other standard electronic assembly equipment. The role operates on either a first shift (approximately 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) or a second shift (approximately 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), providing structured hours in a modern production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
