Key Responsibilities Explain test procedures, demonstrate equipment, prepare and position patients, and monitor patient condition during and after procedures. Assist physicians in developing techniques, preparing exam results, and assessing diagnostic abnormalities. Consult with providers, follow infection control protocols, and alert physicians to abnormal findings. Respond to emergencies, transport patients, and perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound equipment. Schedule appointments, record patient data, review charts, and compile data for quality assurance. Issue reports, perform measurements, index studies, and maintain accurate records and logs of procedures. Ensure equipment availability, calibration, repairs, and proper maintenance. Prepare supplies and instruments, maintain sterilization, and coordinate with other departments. Train and orient new staff, provide guidance, and serve as a resource for procedural questions. Adhere to ICAVL standards and participate in training and meetings. Qualifications Minimum two years of experience in vascular ultrasound, including duplex carotid, venous, and peripheral arterial scanning. Graduate from an approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience. Registered Vascular Technologist certification and BLS from the American Heart Association. Additional Skills Knowledge of vascular trauma consequences and non-invasive testing methods. Advanced understanding of vascular anatomy and disease pathophysiology. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Preferred Qualification: An associate’s degree in a related field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
