School Monitor

Full and part time positions in school buildings and Transportation Department

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Newark Central School District School Monitor will provide supervision of students in study halls, cafeteria, and hallways. This is a position where the individual assists in a variety of tasks involved in the execution of the day-to-day operations of the school building.

JOB DUTIES:

• Act as a monitor in study halls, corridors, libraries, lavatories, resource centers, and cafeterias

• Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks such as making copies, distributing mail, filing, etc

• Prepare bulletin boards

• Proctor exams

• Related tasks and work as required

• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Education - High School diploma or equivalent GED diploma

• Fingerprint clearance through NYS TEACH

PREFERRED : School-based experience, Experience working with children
