Job Details:

• Seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join a Neurocritical Care team
• Work as part of a top-tier multidisciplinary team delivering care to critical neuroscience patients
• Patient population includes complex strokes, skull base surgery, status epilepticus, tumor resections, spinal cord injury, DBS, and other complex neurological and neurosurgical diseases
• Rotate between the intensive care unit and stepdown units
• Full-time position with three 13-hour rotating shifts per week
• No call schedule required
• Up to $30,000 in shift differentials available on top of base salary
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
• Develop plans for further patient evaluation in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists as needed
• Provide appropriate treatment within scope of practice per established protocols
• Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License
• Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a critical care or neurocritical care setting required
• Access to EPIC and state-of-the-art clinical informatics technology
• Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice
