Principal Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Principal Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join an engineering government consulting firm in Greenville, SC or Houston, TX. The Prin. I&C Engineer will lead quality assurance and technical accuracy during all phases of the project. Responsibilities of the Principal Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Includes: Analyze complex engineering problems and provide technical solutions Develop and review design criteria Provide technical support to execute project direction requirements in relation to construction administration Coordinate and review schedules and progress reports Qualifications of the Principal Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Includes: 15+ years of experience working with instrumentation and controls, Big Cap Ex, STADD, RISA CAD, NFPA 70 or similar codes Experience supporting $100 million projects by providing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Must be able to pass a government background check; Compensation of the Principal Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Includes: Pay range: $160,000-210,000 Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Sick Leave if Required by Law, and Holidays This job opens for applications on June 4th, 2026.
