Commercial Internship Program - Summer 2027 Key Role Details This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2027. Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model, for the duration of the program. Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our rotational programs, with start dates six months to one year following the completion of the internship. At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (e.g. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-3, and O-1, or any other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer). Basic Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by July 2028 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2027 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2028, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master’s degree) Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship Preferred Qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or relevant major Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills Examples of demonstrated leadership and team-oriented traits Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles Intellectually curious and forward thinking Familiarity with generative AI platforms and a demonstrated ability to use AI as a collaborator for research, drafting, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Over the course of your 10 weeks with us, you’ll gain a strong understanding of the Commercial Banking business and the multitude of components supporting it. Whether your role is assisting on a new product roll out, participating in financial statement analysis, or reviewing credit and risk exposures, your work will have a direct impact.
