CVRT-I is primarily responsible for employing imaging techniques and operation of X-Ray and other related equipment. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.Job Description:Job Duties:Operates and maintains all radiographic, digital, processing and viewing equipment associated with the production of high-quality images and quantitative analysis of coronary/peripheral anatomy. Applies principles of radiation safety and protection.Acts as first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures to assure completeness of case.Maintains a thorough knowledge in the use of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and products for procedures to ensure its’ accuracy and safety.Reviews the pre-procedural patient assessment to obtain adequate information, communicate pertinent data to MD and ensure appropriate imaging and patient safety.Assist in the education process of new employees, mentors students and other healthcare professionals observing in the cath lab.Assist in the development of performance improvement activities in the cath lab, to include ideas, data collection, data analysis and implementing change to ensure best practice in the cath lab.Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Credentials, Licenses: Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.Current CPR certificationACLS certification (must be obtained within orientation period and prior to working independently)ARRT(R) registeredState Licensure:KentuckyKBMIRT Radiation Operator's LicenseIndianaIndiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License to be obtained if working in IndianaSpecialized Knowledge:Understanding of radiation protection and sterile techniqueKind and Length of Experience:Licensed RT with adequate clinical experience from an approved program.FLSA Status: Non-ExemptRight Career.
