Now hiring for a Material Handler Location: Fife, WA Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour Schedule: Start time 12:00 pm. No Clockwatchers. Just Movers, Stackers, and Go-Getters. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials, supplies, and finished goods either manually or using a hand truck to designated locations within the facility or onto trucks. This role supports overall warehouse operations by ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately. The Material Handler may also provide general housekeeping support to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Job Duties

• Performs various material handling duties manually or using a hand truck within the facility
• Loads finished product onto pallets or hand trucks as required
• Stacks skids or pallets in assigned storage or staging areas
• Loads and unloads freight in an efficient, safe, and accurate manner
• Picks and packs customer orders, assembling various types of merchandise for shipment
• Applies labels to shipments according to company and customer requirements
• Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmations
• Verifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestation
• Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts as needed

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments. Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation. Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures. Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required. Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial. Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment. Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
