Production Worker

The Production Associate supports manufacturing operations by loading and unloading materials, preparing parts and products for processing, and assisting with packaging and inspection to meet quality and production goals. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are accurately measured, properly prepared for coating and shipment, and handled safely and efficiently on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts and products onto pallets in a safe and organized manner.

• Prepare parts and products for cutting to the appropriate measurements using basic tools such as a tape measure.

• Prepare parts and products to be shipped for powder coating according to established procedures.

• Support general production activities on the production line, including packaging, packing, and material handling.

• Perform basic inspection of parts and products to ensure they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.

• Follow established quality standards and processes throughout the facility to maintain consistent product quality.

• Assist with machine operating tasks as directed, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

• Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area by following all safety and housekeeping guidelines.

• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure production deadlines and goals are consistently met.

• Report any issues with materials, equipment, or quality to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, or general production environments.

• Ability to perform packaging, packing, and inspection tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Ability to safely load and unload materials and products, including palletizing.

• Comfortable working on a production line and supporting machine operating activities.

• Ability to read and use a tape measure to verify basic measurements.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced work environment.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.

• Reliability and consistency in attendance and meeting production expectations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

• Experience with loading and unloading materials in a production setting is beneficial.

• Familiarity with plastic manufacturing or similar industrial environments is an advantage.

• Willingness to learn new tasks and grow into roles such as machine operator, forklift operator, or lead position.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.

Work Environment

This position is based in a plastic manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled. The facility operates multiple buildings within a short distance of each other, each supporting different business units. The standard schedule for this role is a 1st shift from 5:45 a.m. to 6:16 p.m. on a 4x4 rotating schedule. Orientations take place on Mondays at 3:30 p.m., and the training schedule for day shift is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for two weeks before transitioning to the 4x4 schedule. The work environment involves production lines, packaging areas, and material handling zones, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and consistent processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
