About the job Deskside Technician
We are seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Deskside Technician to provide onsite IT support to end users. This role is responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, supporting workplace technology, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications
- Set up and deploy new equipment, including imaging and device provisioning
- Support users with Microsoft 365, email, and collaboration tools
- Manage user accounts and access permissions (Active Directory, etc.)
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN)
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment
- Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures in ticketing systems
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT teams when necessary
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-4+ years of experience in IT support or deskside support roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
