To review all benefit information visit us at: QUALIFICATIONS Education Requirements: In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six (6) credits per semester (three (3) for summer). Experience Requirements: Familiarity with Microsoft Office required. Maintain confidentiality of student and department information. Customer service skills a plus. Bilingual skills a plus. Schedule Information: The work schedule will be based on the student's availability, with a minimum of 19 hours and a maximum of 20 hours per week. The student must be available to work during the office hours listed below: Monday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday - Sunday: No work hours available Special Notes: A cover letter and resume may be directly attached to your application; however, this is not required. JOB DESCRIPTION Join the Admissions Processing team and gain hands-on experience in a professional higher education environment. Student Aides play an important role in supporting prospective and current students by assisting with document processing, data entry, customer service, answering incoming phone calls, and other administrative tasks. This position provides an opportunity to develop communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills while working collaboratively with a supportive team. ABOUT THE TEAM 42.11306 RESPONSIBILITIES Duties of Position: Data entry of admissions academic documents such as applications and transcripts. Provides backup telephone and counter assistance. Sorts, distributes, and prepares incoming and outgoing mail. Scans, verifies, indexes, and organizes documents. Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to student records. Collaborates with the Registrar’s office to provide student services support. Performs related duties as assigned. Personal Characteristics: Ideal candidate must be organized, dependable, reliable, and detail-oriented. Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision. Enjoy working with people and building strong relationships easily. Be willing to learn new processes and adapt to changing priorities. Comfortable working in a quiet and professional office environment. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.
