Retail Sales Associate

Greet and consult customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for customers’ needs Answer customer questions about merchandise and assist with purchase decisions Accurately complete sales using the POS system according to established procedures Organize and effectively merchandise items for sale Stock and rotate product Assist in keeping the store clean Assemble and organize products and displays Assist customers with loading and unloading products as needed Process returns and exchanges Utilize customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales-generating skills Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes, and continuously develop skills Collaborate, communicate well, and effectively relay information with an emphasis on positive professional relationships Practice punctual and reliable attendance Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, and kneel frequently Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds Professional appearance and demeanor Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment Preferred Qualifications Product knowledge preferred in one or more of: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, horse/equine, hardware, fencing, lawn & garden supplies, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, or wild bird supplies Schedule Part-time, typically 24–30 hours per week (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed. $17.25 – $19.80/hour.
