REGISTERED NURSE
Location: Elkin, Mount Airy, Yadkinville

• As an employee in this role, you will receive a company car to support travel between patient visits and work sites.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8-hour days, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is looking for a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse to provide skilled hospice visits and short-term patient support in the Yadkinville, Mount Airy, Dobson, Elkin service areas. This role is perfect for an experienced nurse who enjoys flexibility and variety — offering the chance to make a meaningful difference without the ongoing caseload of a case manager.

• Provide PRN and scheduled nursing visits for hospice patients in home and facility settings

• Assess and manage symptoms, provide education, and ensure patient comfort

• Support the clinical team by covering for planned and unplanned absences

• Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity of care

• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact license

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; hospice or home health preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
