Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide professional nursing care to surgical patients in a Level III trauma center, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes. Deliver direct patient support and coordinate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer bedside and perioperative nursing care to surgical patients.
• Operate as a circulator during surgical procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and equipment functionality.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to their needs during procedures.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Participate in on-call rotation, including a minimum of one week notice and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Proven experience as a circulating nurse in operating room settings.
• Knowledge of surgical protocols, sterile procedures, and trauma center requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including 4-day, 10-hour shifts, with varied start days.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
