Salary: Salary placement shall be made by the Board or the Board designee and is commensurate with education and experience pursuant to the APT Negotiated Agreement. For more information, please refer to the information provided in the APT contract available on our website. Contract Information Hours: Full time 9 months 7 hours per day.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation License for Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
• Maintain a professional license

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate support for the vision, mission, beliefs, and goals of District 202
• Uphold and demonstrate compliance with established laws, regulations, District 202 policies, and procedures
• Demonstrate compliance with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation OT Practice Act or PT Practice Act
• Demonstrate compliance with Recommended Practices for Occupational and Physical Therapy Services in Illinois Schools (ISBE 2003)
• Demonstrate compliance with a medically licensed personal contract
• Demonstrate an understanding and perform within the Evaluation Framework as adopted by Plainfield School District 202
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective function of the work unit
• Perform the General Duties outlined in this job description

Physical Requirements

• Perform the physical tasks necessary to monitor, supervise, and physically assist students throughout the school day during a variety of instructional activities
• Report to the assigned site/s regularly
• Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment as circumstances require

Required for Employment

• Completion of new hire documents
• Pre-employment physical exam
• Pre-employment Tuberculosis test
• Current and valid Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation License for Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
• Official College/University transcripts with conferred degrees
• Required Plainfield School District 202 tutorials
• Criminal justice fingerprint /background clearance
• Fair Labor Standards Act Status
