Lab Technician II (Entry Level)

Position: R&D Technician II (Entry Level) Location: Tempe, AZ Duration: 6 Months contract Total Hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens, GC Holders and OPT) Client: Medical Device Company Level Of Experience: Entry Level Responsibilities Assist in concept generation, design, development, and evaluation of new products, materials, and technologies. Develop prototype products, processes, and test setups. Set up and operate manufacturing and/or test equipment. Record data with limited supervision. Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produce engineering documents, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis. Scope equipment for use and complete installation qualifications. Notify manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project. Execute designed test protocol. Document and communicate test results effectively. Qualifications Combination of high school education (technical focus preferred) and 2 or more years of relevant work experience (4 or more preferred). OR min. Associate Degree with less than 2 years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in prototype building and testing. Ability to work with basic computer programs. Ability to manufacture devices including small components. Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures. Work effectively in a cross-functional group. Apply technical principles and concepts. Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. Use standard and approved research and development methods. Develop solutions to problems of up to moderate scope and complexity through exercise of judgment within defined practices and policies.
