Senior Buyer

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? The Senior Buyer manages purchasing execution for assigned suppliers and materials to maintain material availability, protect production schedules and support inventory targets. This position leads complex purchase order, supplier delivery, shortage, receiving, invoice and purchasing data issues that require judgment across planning, production, receiving and quality. The individual in this position identifies supply risks, drives recovery actions and improves purchasing execution processes that reduce shortages, past-due orders, supplier disruption and non-value-added work.

What You Will Do at Graco

Purchase Order Execution

• Manage purchase orders for assigned materials, including order timing, quantities, order changes and approvals within planning parameters.
  
• Make prioritization decisions on constrained or at-risk materials using demand signals, inventory targets and production needs.
  
• Escalate supplier selection, pricing or contract issues to Category Management teams.
  

Material Availability and Supplier Delivery

• Lead daily material availability and shortage recovery discussions with planning, production, receiving, quality and plant partners.
  
• Own supplier delivery follow-up for assigned suppliers and materials, including confirmations, pull-ins, push-outs, expedites and past-due recovery.
  
• Identify supply risks before they affect production and drive mitigation or recovery actions.
  

Purchasing Data, Issue Resolution and Improvement

• Resolve complex purchase order, receiving, invoice, quality and supplier documentation discrepancies.
  
• Maintain and audit purchasing master data including PO dates, lead times, order quantities, supplier records and demand-signal fields.
  
• Lead purchasing execution improvements that reduce shortages, past-due POs, supplier disruption, invoice/receipt issues, lead time, inventory risk and non-value-added work.
  

What You Will Bring to Graco

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Materials Management or related field.
  
• 5+ years of purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, materials or related experience.
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex or business-critical supplier/material portfolios.
  
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, data analysis and prioritization skills.
  
• Ability to lead purchasing execution improvements and work cross-functionally with suppliers, planning production, , , Sourcing and finance partners.
  

Accelerators

• Manufacturing or plant operations experience.
  
• Oracle, Syteline, SAP or similar ERP/MRP experience.
  
• CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, CPM or related certification.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
