Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Adult Medicine

Compensation

Salary Range: $135,000 - $160,000 per year

Location: Hartford, CT
Onsite

Position Summary
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Adult Medicine, you will provide comprehensive primary health care including health promotion and disease prevention for patients. This role involves delivering specialized care in collaboration with physicians and coordinating referrals for diagnosis and treatment as needed. You will play an important role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment while ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Schedule / Shift

• Shift details: Monday-Friday, no evenings or weekends
• Hours per week: 40

• Key Duties:

• Provide comprehensive primary care including health promotion and disease prevention
• Collaborate with physicians and refer patients to specialists as appropriate
• Perform patient assessments, interpret findings, and develop treatment plans
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and organizational quality measures
• Utilize electronic health records and other systems effectively
• Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population

Requirements

• Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with completion of an approved nurse practitioner program or accredited physician assistant program

• Licenses & Certifications

• Required: Valid State of Connecticut licensure; eligibility for DEA and state narcotic registration

Skills:

• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and evidence-based decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills with patients, peers, and stakeholders
• Ability to maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and clinical tools
