Job Description MIG/TIG Welder – (Ventura, CA) Pay: $25–$30/hr Location: Ventura Harbor Boat Yard Shift: 1st Shift Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at the Ventura Harbor Boat Yard. This role involves welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair work in a marine/industrial environment. Candidates must have strong hands‑on welding abilities and be comfortable working outdoors around vessels, equipment, and harbor infrastructure. Key Responsibilities MIG Welding on various steel components TIG Welding for precision and high‑quality welds Aluminum Welding for marine and structural applications Fabricate, repair, and modify metal parts, brackets, frames, and equipment Perform mechanical repairs and assist with equipment maintenance Read and interpret basic fabrication drawings Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Work independently and as part of a small crew in a harbor environment Required Qualifications MIG welding experience TIG welding experience Aluminum welding experience Mechanically inclined — able to troubleshoot, repair, and assemble components Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors Reliable transportation to Ventura Harbor Preferred Skills Experience welding in marine or industrial environments Fabrication experience (cutting, grinding, fitting, layout) Ability to operate basic shop tools and equipment Compensation & Schedule $25–$30/hr starting pay (based on experience) 1st shift Steady work in a unique marine setting Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ventura, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
